Going to install gate operator 115 vac specs shows it pulls ...

Going to install gate operator 115 vac specs shows it pulls 5 amps.also I want to have lighting 1 60 watt light bulb on each post I will only have 2 post. power run I will need to trench 312' to get to house another 90' across floor joist in basement to breaker panel. what size wire should be use & size breaker? thanks Gary Smith Tennessee

Hi G Smith

You can use either a 15 or 20 amp fuse .. but the voltage drop on that 400 foot run will efect the motor performance .. so I would upsize the wire to # 6 direct burial cable .. that is type UF
